The original Beginner's Guide To Salsa released in July 2003 has gone on to become one of the biggest selling salsa CDs in the UK ever, compilation or otherwise. With quality track selection by the UK's premier salsa DJ Lubi Jovanovic, informative sleevenotes, inventive formatting and a strong marketing and promotion campaign, it went on to sell over 50,000 copies! In 2006, Lubi Jovanovic returns to deliver the Beginner's Guide To Salsa Volume 2. Once again, it does what it says on the packet - introduces people to salsa. This time, the compiler has dug a little deeper so that it will appeal to an even wider community of buyers. Although the 3CD format is still based around tempos - slow, medium, fast - the tracks have been specifically picked from more recent recordings (the last 10 years) and also from some newer names not just salsa legends of old.
