Massed Scottish Fiddles

Scottish Fiddlers Rally Massed Scottish Fiddles

The fiddle music of Scotland is an integral part of Scottish folk culture that can be traced back for many centuries. Fondly remembered tunes are handed down from generation to generation both in the oral tradition and later by manuscript. A Fiddler's Rally is when a group of fiddlers come together of an evening and play these well known tunes, old and new. When many of these groups come together you have the massed Fiddler's Rally, a band several hundred strong, producing an amazing wall of sound that will thrill any listener and leave them always wanting to hear more. With guest conductor, the amazing John Mason MBE, you have on this album the very best that the massed Fiddler's Rally can offer.
