On Swings Shubert Alley from 1960, Mel Tormé is at the peak of his career with a collection of Broadway classics accompanied by the acclaimed Marty Paich Orchestra. The elegant union of musical and jazz is considered one of the gems in Tormé's Verve Records catalog, where his incomparable vocals interpret immortal songs from some of the greatest composers in American musical theater. The album includes, among others, Lerner and Loewe's "On the Street Where You Live", Rodgers and Hammerstein's "Hello, Young Lovers" and "The Surrey with the Fringe on Top", as well as Cole Porter's "Too Darn Hot".

The Verve Vault Series is an exclusive series of vinyl reissues that revive the golden era of jazz. Curated by Verve Label Group and UMe, the series features audiophile editions of iconic jazz albums. Each release is meticulously remastered from the original analog master tapes and pressed on 180-gram vinyl at Optimal in Germany.
