Kacey Musgraves returns on May 1, 2026 with "Middle of Nowhere," her sixth studio album and the long-awaited follow-up to 2024's critically acclaimed "Deeper Well." The new release comes after a series of cryptic teasers and marks a creative homecoming for Musgraves, drawing on the landscapes, humor, and emotional openness that have long characterized her songwriting.

"Middle of Nowhere" was produced by Musgraves with longtime collaborators Daniel Tashian and Ian Fitchuk. Kacey herself has described the album as an exploration of emotional transitions, blending western textures with her signature melodic clarity. The album features notable guest appearances from Willie Nelson, Miranda Lambert, Billy Strings and Gregory Alan Isakov, all of whom contribute to an expression firmly rooted in Musgraves' Texas roots, where country and folk traditions are an ever-present element.
