Mumford & Sons unveil their sixth studio album Prizefighter, set for release on February 13, 2026 via Island/Glassnote Records. The follow-up to 2025’s Rushmere, Prizefighter finds the British trio — Marcus Mumford, Ted Dwane and Ben Lovett — at a creative peak, co-writing and co-producing the record alongside Aaron Dessner of The National at his Long Pond Studio in upstate New York.

Across 14 tracks, Prizefighter balances the band’s signature folk-rooted sound with expansive collaborations broadening the dimensions of their songswriting. Guest featurings include Chris Stapleton, Hozier, Gigi Perez and Gracie Abrams.

Mumford & Sons are one of the most influential British bands of the 21st century and have played a pivotal role in bringing folk and roots-based music back to the global mainstream audience.

The big breakthrough came with their debut album 'Sigh No More' (2009), which featured signature songs such as “Little Lion Man” and “The Cave” and quickly made the band frontrunners for the so-called folk revival. The album became a long-term global success and laid the foundation for Mumford & Sons' reputation as a band that manages to combine intimacy and stadium format. With the follow-up 'Babel' (2012), the band cemented their position. The album debuted at number one in both the UK and the US and earned them a Grammy Award for Album of the Year – a rare achievement for a British folk-rock band. Later releases such as 'Wilder Mind' (2015) marked a conscious shift in style towards a more electric and rock-oriented sound, while 'Delta' (2018) explored a more atmospheric and experimental expression.
