Things aren't going well for Kate Adams. Her minimum-wage job barely pays the rent on her one-bedroom apartment, her hypercritical boss cannot be pleased, and her insensitive boyfriend isn't a fan of emotions. When the mounting sadness pressures her to her breaking point, she realizes that she can just leave everything behind and start over somewhere new. Kate decides to pursue her dream of living near the ocean. After a search for seaside employment, she secures a job on Tressle Island with Trisail Tourism, a company that trains employees for a variety of positions, ranging from restaurant workers to tour guides, while providing free lodging. It all seems too good to be true, and when Kate develops a relationship with coworker Blake, her life's upswing reaches dizzying heights. However, it seems that someone at Trisail is jealous of Kate. Ominous messages begin to appear on her doorstep, soon escalating to threats. Meanwhile, rumors of suspicious business activity within the company reach Kate's ears. Against Blake's advice, she sets out to discover the truth, though it could jeopardize her newfound paradise.
