The adventurous duo of Harley Fremont and her K-9 partner, Gemma, return in this action-packed hunt for two men. One man is running from charges of sexual harassment and for stealing from the government, while the other is either providing cover for him or is simply under the control of his authoritarian boss. The men take to the trails of Colorado's beautiful Rocky Mountain National Park and the Arapaho-Roosevelt National Forests. After conducting several interviews, Harley is convinced the men will do what they can to evade detection. Harley and Gemma work to expose the men for who they are and track them down, even as a wildfire erupts. Will the wildfire give the men cover or put their lives in danger? Will Harley and Gemma find the men and uncover the truth? As the story unfolds, Harley experiences new friendships, moments of great joy, followed by surprises, frustration, anger, and terror.
