The dogs are holding their breath, waiting to see if inserting animal DNA into computer chips will have any effect, so they can halt the human rush to climate disaster. Meanwhile, problems continue to mount, with their Svalbard DNA archive leaking, endangering their future, and the oil company ploughing ahead with plans to ravage the Amazon and the Alaskan wilderness. There are glimmers of hope that their computer plan is working, but Patch suspects their successes are not due just to the computers. There seems to be someone else behind the scenes manipulating things, but can this being be trusted?Their friends Chris and Jane lead the human fight, but will their plans of mass protests, infiltrating the oil company, blowing up the internet, making toys that guide their owners, and hypnotising everyone, be enough to save the planet - or sheer fantasy?
