It is September 1940. Poland has fallen. Norway has fallen. Belgium, Holland and France have fallen. Great Britain stands alone, holding its breath as the Nazi war machine, stares across the channel at the white cliffs of Dover. The invasion of mainland Britain is coming, under the codename: Sealion. When rumours begin to circulate of German spies operating across the south of England, Secret Intelligence Operative Kenneth Rowe is pulled from occupied France and sent to the sleepy village of Figheldean to investigate the Nazi threat. Feeling frustrated at having been pulled from the frontline, Rowe arrives to find exactly what he expected, just another sleepy English village. Just days before, Vera Schalburg, Karl Drueke and Robert Petter packed into a seaplane in Bergen, Norway, and took off into the stormy night. Arriving off the east coast of Scotland, the three spies begin their dangerous journey south. Their final destination, Figheldean, Wiltshire. It is here in Wiltshire, whilst visiting the grave of an old friend, Rowe has a chance encounter with what can only be described as the most beautiful woman he had ever seen, and whom he quickly realises is the Nazi known as the 'beautiful spy.' In that single moment Rowe quickly finds himself embroiled in a conspiracy that changes his opinion of English village life, forever. Not knowing who to trust, Rowe is on his own as he races the clock, which is slowly ticking down to the completion of Operation Sealion, the invasion of Great Britain, and Hitler's total dominance of Western Europe.
