At an elite east coast college, 19-year-old Hannah Radhe seems to have her life on track, feminist writer for the school paper and star of the fencing team...until the night a football player lures her into a nightmarish sexual assault. With her collegiate life derailed and the attacker still stalking her, Hannah turns to the dean of the school for help, only to encounter a culture of male collusion and institutional denial leaving her to fend for herself.

That she will, as she embarks on a masterful plan of revenge involving her swordsmanship, an illicit recording, an ingenious alibi of being aboard the Amtrak train, and possibly even a murder-which in turn sets the keen-eyed (and dangerously likable) Detective Cowley on her trail.

But now her well-laid scheme is threatening the college, the old-boy network is out to silence her guilty or not, and the young feminist may need even Cowley's help to drive her point home against the big-money whitewashing of campus rape.
