5 years ago a gunman walked into Brooksville Elementary School, forever changing the students' lives. Arrio is strong and won't let the emotional scars of the past show, but when his girlfriend dumps him his internal pain may become too much to hold. Megan battles Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, which she refuses to admit to her concerned family, friends, and counselor. Nya is determined to never feel helpless again and therefore has taken control over every aspect of her, and to their dismay, her friends' lives. The past doesn't upset Sammy nearly as much as the bullies who antagonize him daily. As the students advance towards healing a sinister new issue arises: someone at their school is threatening to "Finish the Gunman's work". Is it someone's idea of a sick joke designed to unravel their progress and arouse their previous pain or could something even more menacing lurk behind it all?
