After one particularly difficult loss, she resolves never to fall in love again. It soon becomes evident that the carefree summer Helen envisagedwith Jess and the horses will not go as planned. Family illnessand the arrival of two potentially unmanageable horses means a few ideas must be reconsidered. Helen's single-mindedness is testedto the limit resulting in both girls ending up in grave danger. Even with her inimitable resolve, can Helen still dig deep enough to fightback one more time?
