In this re-imagined second Historical Society Collection Novella (original 2018), Maxine Taylor, a recent high school grad, is forced to spend her summer in Plymouth, New Hampshire, with her grandparents. Her grandmother is the head of the local historical society, and she convinces the murder-mystery-obsessed Max to visit the society and read about a local robbery-gone-wrong. Her grandmother also invites Historian Maureen German to come work at the society for the summer. What tricks does Maureen have up her sleeve this time, and what will Max discover during her summer near the White Mountains?
