Are you or someone you love having surgery?My intent in writing this book is to provide you with information that would have been useful for me, as well as you, to know ahead of time. Did you know there are pre-operation tests you must take two weeks prior to surgery? What happens when you're on the table ready to go and those results are misplaced?Have you thought about how you would feel waking up in the ICU? Would it be comforting or frightening?My journey started with an annual well-visit with my primary doctor. I felt healthy going to that appointment. But thanks to her being astute in identifying my heart problems, I am able to live my life without an oxygen tank. This book describes many of the mandated hospital procedures I encountered along the way. I conclude each chapter with My Lesson Learned. My hope is for you to have a smoother voyage as I explain the events I encountered along the way.
