Ink is not a typical part of modern writing, but the idea evokes a warm sense of history - all the way back to the ancient Egyptians using hollow reeds with berry ink. Ink sounds romantic, but it made editing difficult - and editing is the key to great writing. The revolution of easy word processing with computers has made editing so much more accessible.
