The five women who make up the Rosewood Book Club, a club that has been gathering longer than any can recall, come together faithfully once every month. The meetings, which are more about conversation, good food, and good company than books, offer a regular dose of what they all call, good ole laugh therapy. Each of the five friends count their blessings while also shouldering issues which come with advancing years. Jackie Bennett can no longer put off her knee replacement, particularly after taking a few spills and having to be rescued by best friend Mattie Anthony. Becka Ariel's marital woes are magnified by childhood friend Bitsy Miller who suggests there could be something serious going on. Lena Green, newly divorced has barely settled into her new life when her wild and unpredictable sister Jan moves in with her. Andie Davis worries about her nearly 90-year-old mother Gladys when she comes home to find she has taken a serious fall. But when an unthinkable tragedy strikes one of the five women, they quickly realize they need each other more than ever. What they will discover, as they navigate this tragic turn, is just how fortunate they are to be a part of such a close group of friends and that it is never too late to repair their personal relationships. The very painful realization that tomorrow is not guaranteed will remind them, more than anything, what really matters most in life.
