Maddie Goes to School is about a raccoon that has to go to back to school during a global pandemic. She talks to her mom about her feelings, and she learns how to stay safe. Topics include social distancing, hand washing, and health protective equipment like masks and face shields. The Kind-Hearted Kids series is about a group of animal friends learning to be kind. Maddie the raccoon, Piper the cat, Oliver the duck, Emma the rabbit, and Jack the squirrel live in the same neighborhood and go to the same school. They are learning together how to help others and treat people with respect by learning to have a kind heart. Suitable for children ages 3 and up. About the Author, Kelly Jaxheimer: I have the pleasure of being the mother of intelligent and funny 15-year-old boy and girl twins. We read before bed almost every night, and I believe children have an amazing ability to learn and adapt.
