Have you ever heard the saying, "Those who do not learn from history are bound to repeat it?"This is a Biblical comparison of the children of Israel as they were bound for the Promised Land, with why Christians and churches in America today, are making the same mistakes the Israelites did over 4000 years ago. Why did it take them 40 years to complete an 11 day journey, and why do Christians seem to have to battle the same issues and sins over and over again? We seem to stumble over the same issues time and again, just when we think we are getting ahead or growing spiritually. Why are churches not reaching the lost, and not growing in attendance?How are we to go and make disciples, when the average church in America only has 70 in attendance on any given Sunday? What are the lessons we must learn from the Israelite's journey to the Promised Land, if we are to make an impact on our city and nation, today?
