After suffering the passing of his wife while serving the Marines overseas. Brett Jones returns home to only fall into a downwards spiral of alcoholism to cope with his loss. But in the process he loses everything including the custody of his son and even his home. As years go bye and never healing from the lost of his wife, it takes the lost of an older close friend, and the will of his friends daughter Joy to show him there's more to life then drinking and the streets. As Joy refuses to give up on him, she discovers the man behind the bottle. But the lines of love and lust, sobriety and drunkenness, father and stranger all get blurred. And it's up to Brett to decide if he's strong enough to take control of his life, or continue to except his life as a homeless drunk.
