As inter-firm competition extends beyond organisations? internal structures the need to adopt strategies that will enhance supply chain efficiency and ensure quick return on investments (ROI) is paramount. However, after an observed period of 15 years of operations in the apparel industry, organisations in the southern part of Asia particularly are embracing new business strategies. Some of these strategies include the implementation of enterprise solutions (ES) such as Material Requirement Planning (MRP) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP). These come in different stages but are aimed at maximising returns on capital investments and promoting supply chain performance.
