Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) is consisting of number of limited sensor devices which are communicating over wireless media. There are lots of WSN's application in military, healthcare and also industry. However sensor devices are restricted in resources, so the network may experience variety of attacks. One severe attack in WSNs is passive wormhole (PWH) attack which attacker forwards data from one part of network to another part through the wormhole tunnel. In this book, neighbor discovery approach has been proposed and applied on selected secure routing protocol SeRINS, which shown better level of security than reviewed secure routing protocols, in order to detect and mitigate passive wormhole attack in wireless sensor network which brings considerable amount of communication over load to entire network. The simulation results showed that enhanced SeRINS can detect and mitigate almost 100% of passive wormhole attacks in the wireless sensor network.
