Impact of Outpatient Therapeutic Program on Malnourished Children
Jack Achieng
Malnutrition among children below five years is one of the strongest indicators of a food insecure society. Through outpatient Therapeutic Program; an effective approach applied by MoH and development partners in Kenya, malnourished children are rehabilitated and restored to normal life and health. If effectively intertwined with long-term food security measures and targeted well, morbidity and mortality rates linked with malnutrition would be multiplied by zero! Material and Human capacity should be mobilized and channeled towards mitigating the effects of malnutrition among children below five years.
