Pepper (Capsicum spp.) belongs to the family of Solanaceae and is an important spice crop, highly cherished for its pungent flavor. Seed is the basic and crucial input in agriculture production, maintaining continuous supply of high quality seeds to farmer is most important. Quality of seed is varies among the genotypes of all the crops including capsicum. A study was conducted to ascertain the genotypic variation for seed quality in a few selected capsicum species and also attempted to ascertain the right stage of fruit harvest to get the good quality seeds. For the genotypes with irregular germination some techniques were standardized to obtain uniform germination. Salient findings of the study are presented in this book.
