Over the last few years the use of composite resin restorations has increased exponentially. Being under years of service, restorations are subjected to various chemical and mechanical degradation factors. A simplified approach in repairing such degraded restorations would be a wise choice, whereby saving the sound tooth structure from additional trauma subsequent to removal of the old restoration and maintaining tooth strength by minimizing cavity preparation.
