Currently utilization of agricultural products as an input for factories is the major plan of Ethiopian government. Among those agricultural products Bamboo holds higher population which has been limited to the use of household furniture's at local areas of the country. Lots of scholars has been devoted to investigate the population of the bamboo in Ethiopia, according to these researchers both from the country and abroad, the population of Ethiopian bamboo plant which is around 1million hectare, holds 67% of the Africa?s bamboo population. There are two species of bamboo in the country, those are the lowland and highland bamboo. Among these two species the lowland bamboo covers 86.7% of the total population. The study was devoted to investigate the Ethiopian lowland bamboo for the manufacturing of particleboard. In this study experimental study were held to compare bending strength of the samples from the Ethiopian lowland bamboo particles and to that of the particleboard from Maychew particleboard factory, which is widely used by different factories of wood products.
