Mixed-mode Fracture in Adhesively Bonded Joints: Investigation and Characterization of an Important Commercial Adhesive, Fm73, Under Quasi-static and Fatigue Loading
Hafiz Tauqeer Ali
The book is concerned with investigation and characterisation of mixed mode fracture in bonded joints and will consider both quasi-static and cyclic loading. In order to achieve, a wide range of experimental conditions, a suitable test geometry has been developed, it will be used to investigate crack growth in joints based on a commercial FM73 adhesive. The experimental results will be analysed using appropriate closed-form and finite-element-based analysis. This work should then lead to constitutive relations that describe the adhesive behaviour under mixed mode conditions.
