The hardest book to write yet covers the transition between the wise old sage, Jack Labrador Esq. and the lovable, delightful, yet not so gifted Barney Doofus Labrador. The confusion of the way we hoomuns choose to live our lives is just the same. Jack and Barney have spent their lives living with The Owner in Compton Bassett, Wiltshire, enjoying the freedoms that village life is able to grant them. We sadly lost Jack to cancer in 2015 and still miss him terribly. Barney is his own dog in every sense of the word and will never be a replacement for the talented and loyal Jack Labrador. As their Owners, it has been our privilege to have them in our lives. As rescue dogs, for a time sadly too short. We hope this gives you just a flavour of the many reasons why they have meant so much to us.
