The Daniels family, Iowa farmers and purveyors of marijuana and amphetamines, attempt to expand into the big city narcotic market. On his first business foray into Omaha, Steve Daniels manages to get a fellow criminal killed while losing a trunk load of money and a shipment of fentanyl. He also wounds Sergeant Mike Weber before getting himself shot to death. A second assault on Weber occurs weeks later. The attacks on a police officer infuriate Doctor Jack Andrews.
