The Last Wild Rhino The rhino in South Africa is now an endangered species. Relentless poaching for the animal's valuable horn has reduced its numbers to a dangerous level. To combat this increasing threat game reserves, such as the Kruger National Park, have encouraged the distribution of its rhinos to other game reserves in the hope of saving some animals from the growing sophistication of the gangs of poachers. Languleni is just one of these game reserves. Game ranger Derek Hamilton is one of the Languleni game rangers determined to do all he can to save the rhino from the international criminals behind the poaching.
