Whispers Through Time begins eight months after historian Julia Pickett stepped across a threshold in 2015 and inexplicably found herself in Civil War era Missouri, circa 1863. Julia has since married Zeb Bonard, the charismatic young outlaw she met that fateful August day. Now Zeb's brother Luke is finding it increasingly more difficult to resist the call of that portal through which Julia came to them. But, Luke has a secret agenda that transcends a simple craving to experience the 21st century Julia has so vividly described to them. He wants to meet Julia's sister, Anna, who bears an uncanny resemblance to a girl Luke once loved. Luke returns from his final foray into Julia's time sans Anna to find Zeb is missing. In addition, the town is overrun with federal troops intent on flushing out any remaining Southern sympathizers-foremost among these being alleged bushwhackers Zeb and Luke Bonard. But these two crises pale in significance to the discovery of a family secret that shakes the brothers' world forever as past and future collide. Whispers Through Time is a fast-paced blending of history and romance with more than its share of twists and turns. It's a triple hanky experience.
