"Escape Under A Waning Crescent Moon" is the second book in "The Blood Moon Series." The first book, "The Blood Moon Sealed My Fate," tells the story of a child named Eamon who had the misfortune of being born into a dysfunctional and abusive clan deep in the Appalachian Mountains. The misapplication of the 'spare the rod and spoil the child' scripture led to his older sister, Sinead, being murdered and Eamon being left handicapped for life. Although Eamon is not aware of this, Sinead's spirit stays to try to protect him throughout his childhood, and she follows him to the city when he escapes as a young adult. "Escape Under a Waning Crescent Moon" picks up where "The Blood Moon Sealed My Fate" ends. This second book in "The Blood Moon Series" tells the story of Eamon coming to the city, finding his way with the help of a kind mentor, marrying and having a family, and learning how to be a better parent than his parents had been. He does all of this against great obstacles, with the unfamiliar city being like a jungle to him. A daughter being born handicapped complicates matters while also providing him with that best friend for life that he really needs.
