The Forest Children Storybook Kristina Sigunsdotter

Elsa Beskow's classic Swedish picture books including Children of the Forest and Peter in Blueberry Land have been loved by generations of readers. But where will the forest children's next adventures take them? Inspired by Elsa Beskow's charming stories, The Forest Children Storybook brings together three brand new tales from prize-winning author Kristina Sigunsdotter and accomplished illustrator Maria Löfgren. Rediscover or travel for the first time to the magical world of the mushroom-capped forest children Harriet, Tom, Sam and Daisy.

Join them as they build the best den ever, sneak out to a moonlit fairy party, take off on the back of a tree dragon, and meet some familiar friends including Mrs Owl the schoolteacher -- and a troll who is not as scary as he seems. Maria Löfgren's warm, detailed illustrations echo the charm of Elsa Beskow's iconic artwork while adding a contemporary touch. Kristina Sigunsdotter's joyful, gentle stories remain faithful to Beskow's beloved characters, yet are told from Harriet's perspective, giving them a fresh and friendly voice.

A celebration of heritage and new imagination, The Forest Children Storybook continues the wonder, charm and beauty of Elsa Beskow's legacy -- perfect for new and old fans alike.
