Clay Webster is a college student pursuing a career as a detective. During summer break his best friend Jenny is attacked and left for dead. When the police locate her, they find a corpse partially buried nearby. While Clay works as an Intern with the Sheriff's Department, he is tasked with research of several cold cases that may be linked to a suspect living near the body dump site. The Sheriff's Department partners with the state's Bureau of Criminal Apprehension in developing a case against the suspect to tie him to the cold cases and recent attack against Jenny. The clock is ticking as more women are attacked and the need to apprehend the attacker is imminent. Can Clay gather enough information from previous cases to charge the suspect with the crimes? If so, will the suspect be arrested and placed behind bars for the rest of his life? Or will the alleged serial killer continue to terrorize the community?
