"In another man's shoes" is a book about God's heart for leadership transitioning and mentoring within the body of Christ. It is based on true stories regarding the courage to transition in leadership and the grace to mentor. All churches will go through a change in leadership at some point or another, but unfortunately most of them don't have a succession plan in place. This book is written against the background of successful leadership transitioning and mentoring stories. These accounts are brought into context with examples from both the Old and New Testament and valuable principles are formulated, both within the local church as well as within Christian organisations. The book also emphasises the importance of mentoring young leaders in preparation for successful leadership transitioning by giving practical guidelines. The book can be successfully used in a variety of contexts: from training theology students for ministry to Christian leaders using the book within their local congregation/organisation as a leadership tool. Ultimately, the book is aiming to connect Christian leaders with God's heart for the next generation of leaders and encouraging leaders to follow in the footsteps of the Head of the church and Eternal Mentor, our Lord Jesus Christ. Dr Anthony Jacobs has a variety of ministry experiences within the local church and para-church environment. He is the visionary leader at Kingsway Ministries in Amanzimtoti, South Africa. He obtained his D Litt et Phil (Theology) and is also involved in the academic world. Anthony is married to Chantelle and they have a beautiful daughter, Lisa.
