Julie Godley was diagnosed with breast cancer when she was forty-eight. Her memoir takes the reader on an intimate journey with details from the time of her diagnosis to her five-year breast cancer anniversary. She realized after treatment that her breast cancer story was not over at all; it was just the beginning of a very long process of self-discovery and self-love. Her cancer diagnosis was God's little wake-up call and her greatest life lesson. Julie shares stories from her past and includes information of how she learned to love and heal herself--mind, body, and spirit. Her memoir includes valuable suggestions to help prepare anyone who has been diagnosed with breast cancer. Her goal is to bring hope and inspiration to others undergoing a similar journey. Julie is now happier and healthier than she was before her diagnosis. She lives in Wilmington, North Carolina, and this is her first book--but she is already thinking about writing another.
