Sorenson went into the bar to get a drink, he told the police. He actually went to meet a friend who wasn't there. Neither was anyone else. No bartender. No waitress. No customers. When he finally did meet his friend, he's told he has to keep a police detective from going home until two in the morning. Why? Because he's been paid. In addition, he finds himself playing games with the police, dodging old enemies, and trying to figure out why any of this was happening.
