After battling his guilt for years over the heinous crimes he committed on March 27, 2004, twenty-four-year-old Anthony Cheritto is willing to risk his life to murder criminals, hoping to redeem himself in crime-ridden Philadelphia. When convicted, Anthony was diagnosed with multiple mental illnesses, so the courts sentenced him to inpatient treatment at St. Dymphna's Psychiatric Hospital. During his treatment, Anthony began to feel guilty about his crimes, and since his release from St. Dymphna's, his guilt continues to haunt him. After stopping a mugger, Anthony comes to believe that apprehending criminals will redeem himself for his past. Anthony is willing to murder criminals, still hoping for forgiveness and redemption, and dresses in disguises to fool the police and hide his identity. While gangsters, the police, National Guard, and FBI hunt the vigilante, Anthony gets confused and has trouble discerning between innocent civilians and criminals. Anthony has to battle his own personal demons to prevent himself from turning into the monster he once was.
