This odyssey is a pilgrimage paved with pain, love, and healing for the human spirit. This soul-searching adventure happens in a mythical place, where a patriotic history repeats itself, over and over again. This story happens in a glorious yet dangerous place-where brave and unpretentious people fall and rise up. My memories cover events in, around, and beyond that place. That special place. That corner in heaven where I was born and raised: Apatzingán in the state of Michoacán, in my beloved Mexico.
