Sights & Sounds: Introduction to ear training and sight reading for the examining string player provides violin, viola, cello, double bass and guitar students a series of exercises adapted towards their instrument and level. While many ear training and sight reading books exist for examining pianists and vocalists, very few resources of that kind exist for string players. Thus, this instruction book aims to contribute and expand the available resources for string players - both teachers and students; professional and amateur. Importantly, the exercises in this series co-relate to requirements found in examination syllabi for each instrument and their respective level. This book may be used independently at home and/or during lessons to successfully achieve an appropriate level of ear, aural and sight reading proficiency.
