On a chance connection to an unknown school, a young coach took over a fledgling high school basketball program. His challenge - establish a consistent winning culture. In 40 years - through building a team-first approach, blending talents toward a common goal, bidding to diversify a basketball program, rising to a level to play against - and defeat - nationally ranked players and team - success was accomplished. What an exhilarating ride! In all this, irony abounds.
