Melanie Darlington and her daughter Abby pack up their lives after her divorce and move back in with her quirky parents in the quaint northern Wisconsin small town that she grew up in. Expecting boredom and a quick exit, Melanie and Abby both start to discover that Storybook isn't the sweet, nothing-ever-happens-here town that it appears. Caught in a tangled web between a guy who seems like a good catch and a gorgeous but weird (and maybe crazy) witch, Melanie is left writhing on the strings of confusion and uncertainty.
