This book begins with the ancient myth of the knight Perceval, and the legend of the Holy Grail. The purpose of the book is to form many Percevals, who will achieve victory in their quest and will make a new springtime in the blighted forest. Perceval represents all of us who are made in the image of God; soul, mind and heart. The image of God is symbolically represented as the holy grail. Our world viewed from the point of view of spiritual warfare has become like the blighted forest, pockmarked with the ravages of the battle. To renew the world by restoring God's sovereignty, we must look deeply within ourselves and ask the question: Has our core identity been made perfect, by being true to itself, as the image of God or has our identity been deformed, beyond recognition, into the image of an idol?Any reader who has been aware of the fever-pitch battle of modern times versus Gospel values should, while reading the book, have that moment of realization, "Oh, so that's why things are happening like this!"
