The Nurturing Education Skills Training Program (NEST) is a community-based, home like setting attached to a school, church or elder care facility. It is an innovative, unique concept in parent empowerment and early childhood education for young urban area children. For many children it will be the beginning of their first out of home learning experience. What is unique about this program is that it is intergenerational and community based for both parents and their children. This program of support will emphasize the importance of intergenerational support in blending in the total family in the growth, development/education of young children.
