All, however, contained omissions or errors which this book sets out to correct. Over four years have been devoted to checking family stories, letters, and compiled histories against available documentation such as Pennsylvania death records and the U. S. Census. It is to be hoped that this book will assist those who seek to know more about the Gasts and related families.
