Fearing for their livelihoods and security, the nation's human population assign their new neighbors to the harshest and least desirable jobs possible while they reap the benefits of their labor. As one reporter interviews the people who lived through the early years, we learn the story of the creatures that changed the world. A sasquatch turned lumberjack falls for a mermaid fleeing the US military. A detective chases a dark rumor. A vampire lawyer just wants to sing. But they're all connected by the magic of the unicorn who started it all. They live on a diet of Honeysuckle & Irony, creating a world of sweetness and happenstance wherever they go, and if the politicians don't ruin it first, this world will never be the same.
