Cancer Hope is an inspirational memoir of 15 empowering easy-to-read essays. Diane highlights the diverse skills she employed as she survived idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis following receiving a single lung transplant on 10.10.10. Four years later, her health was again critically challenged when she was diagnosed with stage 3C uterine cancer. While Diane has successfully survived both illnesses, because of them, she has acquired a progressively resilient attitude and lifestyle. Rather than feeling like a prisoner of her health challenges, she has calmly and persistently developed feelings of acceptance and a willingness to face life as it is. The book's essays are intentionally infused with gentle humor and are short (approximately 1,000 words each) to accommodate those who may be hospitalized and those whose attention span may be brief. Because Diane has experienced several chronic illnesses simultaneously, she further addresses practical skills suited to making the best of complex health circumstances. Throughout her memoir, Diane's shares her faith as she openly struggles with acceptance of the belief that change, whether positive or negative, occurs on God's timeline, not hers. By the memoir's final pages, the reader becomes increasingly aware of the author's evolving healthy fearlessness and her immaculate trust.
