A Giant Named Hugo draws a picture of the world today. Where prejudice and fear can keep groups separated due to dislikes, lack of understanding and misplaced propaganda. Once realizing that the fairytales each had heard as children were misleading and the saying "you can't judge a book by its cover," really applied to their situation. It would take a child to teach adults the meaning of kindness and neighborly love. After dissolving the fear between, the giant and the villagers a beautiful community was built and lasting friendships were created.
