Matthew, Gospel of the Kingdom, is a chapter by chapter study of the New Testament Book written by Matthew the tax collector. It is suitable for individual or group study. The words of Matthew came after four hundred silent years. After the last book of the Old Testament, the Book of Malachi, was written, God did not speak to men in an official way until He sent His angel to announce good news in Jerusalem and Nazareth. By his use of Old Testament prophecies Matthew spans those four hundred silent years and shows us that Jesus Christ is the fulfillment of the ancient writings. Matthew's Gospel ties the Old and New Testaments together. Over half of the words in Matthew were words spoken by Jesus; this includes The Sermon on the Mount and the Olivet Discourse. Matthew reveals to us the heart of our Savior.
