Woven throughout hundreds of years, numerous generations, and multiple books of the Bible, is the story of a man named Zadok. He fulfilled multiple prophecies and promises from generations earlier, and left an incredible legacy for generations after. He didn't merely do an isolated heroic thing; he lived heroically, demonstrating a bravery that gave him recognition that few men have ever received. We need men like that. We need to be men like that. "A Man Like Zadok" is more than a bible study or a character sketch. The Bible is full of stories of incredible heroes who are recorded as our examples, for our benefit, and to give us a role in a much bigger story. Zadok's story is all of that. "A Man Like Zadok" is more than just a retelling of the story of a hero. It's a challenge... or maybe a bunch of challenges to young guys to: -Become the kind of men who live with a sense of destiny and purpose, who take appropriate risks, and who live heroically; -Keep doing heroic things throughout their lives; to live by honor and for glory demonstrated by loyalty to our King Jesus; -Become a mentor and live a legacy; and to -Create an environment conducive to producing more men like Zadok. Most of all, it's a challenge to you - whatever your age - to pursue God with others who call on Him with a sense of adventure and abandonment. When you do that, you won't find religion; you'll find God. You may not be as safe that way, but you won't be as bored. You can live a life where you thrive and walk in your identity and inheritance as a son of God. You can also waste your life trying to find fulfillment in the things of the world. You were meant for so much more. Be a man like Zadok.
