This read-aloud picture book will appeal to children ages three to six, and provides enjoyment to both the child and the reader through the rhyming poetry. It tells the story of a little cricket, Suzette, who is an exceptional singer, born into the singing Crick-ette' family. At the urging of her neighbors she tries out to sing with the Full Moon Orchestra. Guitar playing Gus Grasshopper loudly objects to her "chirping", but the Maestro says "Bravo!" She gets a chance to sing with the orchestra. She performs with some accomplished musicians, Chip the Munk and Liddy Ladybug, but it's Suzette who steals the show.
